No. A referral is not required to access counselling services. You are welcome to contact me directly to discuss your needs or schedule an appointment.
Are your services covered by insurance?
As a Registered Social Worker (RSW) with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW), my services are covered by many extended health benefit plans.
Coverage varies depending on your individual policy, so I encourage you to check with your insurance provider regarding your specific benefits.
Do you offer virtual counselling?
Yes. Secure virtual counselling is available to clients throughout Ontario. Virtual sessions offer the same compassionate, confidential support as in-person appointments, allowing you to access counselling from the comfort of your own home.
Where are you located?
Country Roads Counselling Services is located in Laird, Ontario, offering a quiet, welcoming rural setting for in-person counselling. Detailed directions will be provided when your appointment is confirmed.
What can I expect during my first appointment?
Your first appointment is an opportunity for us to get to know one another. We'll discuss what has brought you to counselling, your goals, and any questions you may have. Together, we'll determine how I can best support you and develop a plan that feels right for you.
How long are counselling sessions?
Individual counselling sessions are typically 60 minutes in length. Couples sessions are typically 90 minutes. Session frequency is tailored to your needs and goals and can be discussed together.
Yes. Your privacy is very important. Everything discussed during counselling is kept confidential, except in rare situations where disclosure is required or permitted by law, such as concerns about immediate safety or where there is a legal obligation to report.
Confidentiality and its limits will be reviewed with you during your first appointment.

What is your cancellation policy?
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, I kindly ask for at least 24 hours' notice. Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, or missed without notice, may be subject to the full session fee.
